I love that. LOL
The books are amazing.. the movie is awesome, but it doesn't do the book justice.
My point is if you don't care for the movie you should still read the book.

It looks like New Moon and Eclipse will be filmed back to back. Which makes a lot of sense.
So Catherine being fired sucks, but i'm sure the new director will do a kick ass job. My biggest fear is the screen writer. Maybe they should have got a new one. She did twilight in 6 weeks. New moon is done and with a bigger budget i know they can add in way more. To me they need to add in little random things.

OOOHKay, so I finally saw it and Val can get off my ass...well of course unless she likes it there...lol
Ok Val ...warning, this is my honest opinion, no pulling punches, so if you don't want to hear what i really thought if it was negative, then don't read on....
Spoiler:
So my first impressions, it was a tad too long, it was slow and took a while to get to the point during the first half of the movie. I liked her little crew of human friends, they were fun. I once again confirmed that that Rob dude is not as hot as everyone thinks he is and the pasty make-up job they did on him was doing him NO FAVORS. I didn't care for their take on vampires, it would have been cooler to see them turn into a creature rather then covered in diamonds when stepping into sunlight. I like the nice vampire clan idea, but the twilight series take on vampires as a whole is far too distant from every other vampire sterotype, i mean all vampire movies or shows tweak the vampire lore to fit their needs, but in this, sunlight doesn't kill them and they don't even have fangs. They all just are wearing way too much white clown make up and talk very odd.
Overall the movie was good, I think i was put off enjoying it as much as i could have due to my worry that my friend with me was not enjoying it (she had no idea what the movie was about going in and kinda thought it might be something closer to a harry potter type fantasy movie). But she told me she really liked it. I do wish it had more fantasy elements in it, being it's about super natural creatures, but they seemed to mostly focus on the girl and the vampires were a side story. I thought it was a good flick, though i do see the potential for the sequels to be much better since they got the way too long origin story out of the way in this one. I also wish the movie didn't take place is such a gloomy, dark environment, it was sorta a bummer watching the depressing backdrop as well as EVERYONE not just the vamps were pale as hell.
And Val, Rob's looks did grow on me a little more, though his acting was kinda ...ehhh, but the white pasty make up made his feature disappear and his face look like it had no definition. Luckily for Zito they had no control of that hair of his. I thought the other vampire brother of his, the younger on who was new to their family, he was cuter then Rob. But the Dad Vampire needed to put down the white powder make-up, it was out of control along with that bad blonde dye job.
Sorry to all you Twilight fanatics that love it so, I did like it and will look forward to the sequels, maybe even if i read the books i'd be more engaged and less disappointed. It wasn't a bad movie, just had some bad elements too it.

If you had read the books *cough cough* lol...you would have gotten why forks is dark and gloomy and why they have no fangs and so on . But to each there own ... I loved it .. yes the books are better but not a lot of movies out there can do books their justice. NOTE TO TAZ LOL READ THE BOOK AND WATCH IT AGAIN.. LOL

You should definitely read the books Taz. The one upside to watching the movie prior to reading the books is that you picture them as you're reading. Sure if you read them after casting, you could still do that, but now that you've seen them in character in the movie, it's much easier to imagine.

Kristen lets robert do all the talking in interviews and she just stares at him and looks wow all the time. I have noticed he has gotten more relaxed doing them.
